The Moore Company is a privately held family-owned business. The parent company of two wholly owned divisions that excel in the manufacture of performance fabrics. First established in 1909 with the founding of the George C. Moore Company, manufacturer of stretch and rigid narrow fabric (woven and knit), and Darlington Fabrics is a manufacturer of stretch and rigid wide warp knit fabric. There is a strong history of innovation, performance, and customer support to build upon.
Founded on the lasting premise of “providing continual innovation and support to our valued customers” the George C. Moore Company continually strives to offer the best narrow elastic value in the market. The combination of competitive pricing, excellent quality and on-time service has enabled us to be the preferred market leader for more than one hundred years.
Our US operation headquartered in Westerly, Rhode Island consists of Sales, Customer Service, Technical Support, Manufacturing Consultation, Engineering, Design, Research & Development, and Purchasing Functions. Also, we have established a network of contract manufacturers that produce uniquely designed and qualified narrow elastics and webbings that require US manufacture.
Beginning in 2006 we invested in a facility in Central America to stay close to our customers in the region. Conformed by a workforce with the technical expertise to make sure that our customers get the right elastic for the right job. And if we do not have the elastic you need, we can sit down and design it for you.
Located in American Park Free Zone, in close proximity to San Salvador, our facility is a vertical weaving and knitting operation with dedicated Design and Quality Assurance departments. Our facility has the capability to manufacture elastics or webbings from ¼” up to 12” wide. We also have in-house dyeing & finishing, rotary printing, cutting & sewing, performance finishes and customized packaging, all offered to support our customer requirements.
We believe in giving back, supporting, and helping improve the overall quality of life of our employees and of Salvadorans that live in surrounding communities. Initiatives include our participation in yearly activities as “Plant a tree campaign”, sponsorship, and participation in the “I run with the heart race”, blood donation to the Salvadoran Red Cross Bank. We have also worked closely with various humanitarian organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, among others.

The number of silicone tracks, the width and the pattern of the bead can be customized to the customer’s technical specifications.
We can apply various patterns of colored and transparent silicone on the back of your knitted or woven elastic.
